The School Environment Introduction Period (SEIP) is a crucial initial phase in the educational process for young children. At the Early Childhood Education (ECE) level, SEIP aims to introduce children to their new school environment in a fun and supportive manner, aiding their social and emotional development. This activity aims to introduce the school environment to new students joining PAUD SuryaKasih. It was held from July 8 – 18, 2024 (SEIP) and Jul 19, 2024 (Welcoming Parents)
Entering the academic year 2024-2025, students of PAUD SuryaKasih engage in familiarizing themselves with the school environment, including the use of school facilities, meeting teachers and classmates, and learning about self-introduction as well as initial education in school culture.
The School Environment Introduction Period at the ECE level is a critical time in children’s educational journey. With the right approach and effective strategies, SEIP can help children feel more prepared, comfortable, and excited to begin their learning adventure. With support from educators and parents, SEIP can be a positive and beneficial experience for children’s social and emotional development, preparing them for success in their new school environment.
The role of parents in a child’s education is undeniably significant. Schools that actively engage and welcome parents create a collaborative environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. Welcoming parents to school not only fosters a positive school community but also reinforces the partnership between home and school.
In addition to SEIP, the role of parents in their child’s education is crucial. This activity aims to explain the school’s annual learning program to the parents of PAUD SuryaKasih students. Schools that actively involve and welcome parents create a collaborative environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. Welcoming parents to school not only builds a positive school community but also strengthens the partnership between home and school. Through effective communication, inclusive practices, and sincere invitations to participate, schools can create a welcoming atmosphere that benefits students, parents, and the entire school community.
